Looks even better lit

Everything was protected properly and the glass arrived without damage. The 16-inch shade is large enough to give presence without making the corner feel crowded. In person, the European-style shape feels characterful rather than overly formal or old-fashioned. I am pleased that the colours look warm rather than overly bright.

The shade looks quite dark when the lamp is off, then the colours become much richer once it is switched on. It has worked out exactly as hoped.

Looks even better lit

Warm bulbs bring out the glass colours without making them harsh. The sunflower details are much clearer when the glass is lit, but they do not look busy from across the room.

The lamp arrived carefully packed, with every glass section intact. The 12-inch shade is a good scale for our table and does not crowd the surface. We chose it for the bedroom, where the warmer glass light feels more comfortable in the evening.
