The rose detail gives the lamp character without feeling too ornate. The rose details are much clearer when the glass is lit, but they do not look busy from across the room.

Warm bulbs bring out the glass colours without making them harsh. In person, the European-style shape feels characterful rather than overly formal or old-fashioned.
