The shade needed a small adjustment before it sat completely straight. The 7-inch size matches the space more closely than I expected from the photos.

The box looked large, although the lamp inside was packed securely. The 8-inch shade is a good scale for our table and does not crowd the surface. The lamp has settled into the space more naturally than expected.
