The colours look darker while the lamp is switched off. The resin base has more texture than the photos showed and feels stable once the lamp is in position.

The butterfly detail gives the lamp character without feeling too ornate. The butterfly details are much clearer when the glass is lit, but they do not look busy from across the room.
