The bird detail is easy to notice without dominating the room. The bronze finish is darker and softer than bright metal, which suits the coloured glass well.

The lamp arrived carefully packed, with every glass section intact. The white glass looks fairly muted in daylight and much warmer once the lamp is switched on. I checked the measurements beforehand, and the 12-inch size sits comfortably beside the other furniture.
