One thing that works very well is the character it adds without feeling too ornate and that is what we notice most.

Just right for the room

While reading, the colours come through clearly without looking harsh. Worth choosing.

We put this table lamp on the console table and it immediately made the corner feel more finished. A warm white bulb gives the softer evening light we wanted.

Our electrician fitted this chandelier after we finished decorating the room. The light spreads well across the table without feeling harsh.
