I have been using this desk lamp for reading and computer work in the evenings. The shade looks especially good in the evening, while still giving useful task light.

Mostly pleased overall

The shade needed a small adjustment. After that, the overall result is still good.

From across the room, the glass has more depth than the photos showed.
