Unpacking took a little time, but the lamp was very well protected. In person, the European-style shape feels characterful rather than overly formal or old-fashioned. The 18-inch size feels balanced over the table rather than looking lost or oversized. The lamp has settled into the space more naturally than expected.

It gives practical everyday light while still looking decorative. It has worked out exactly as hoped. The workmanship looks tidy around the glass.
